Rebrew is your brewing companion — dial in pour-over and espresso recipes, follow a guided timer, and get the same great cup every morning.
Getting started
-
Start from a brew method
Tap the grid icon to browse built-in methods (Pour Over, Espresso, French Press, and more), then create a recipe from one — or start from scratch.
-
Set your ratio
Open the Ratio row and adjust the coffee and water amounts. Rebrew shows the resulting ratio (like 1:16) and keeps your dose and water linked to it. Pick grams, milliliters, or liters per recipe.
-
Add your variables and steps
Track dose, water, grind, temperature — whatever matters to you. Add brew steps with target amounts and timers; step targets can reference your variables (like "pour to 60% of water").
-
Brew with the guided timer
Tap Start Brewing for a step-by-step flow with countdowns. It keeps a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and notifies you when each timed step is done.
-
Log it and dial in
After a brew, log how it went — a rating, notes, and how long it actually took versus the target. Over time your Brews history helps you dial the recipe in.
Frequently asked
Does Rebrew work offline?
Yes. Everything — brewing, timing, and saving recipes — works with no network connection.
Does it sync across my devices?
Yes. If you're signed into iCloud, your recipes and brew logs sync automatically across your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud account. There's nothing to set up and no account to create.
My timer didn't notify me — why?
Rebrew needs notification permission to alert you when a step finishes. Check Settings → Rebrew → Notifications and make sure they're allowed. Live Activities also need to be enabled for the Lock Screen countdown.
How do I change units (grams, mL, liters)?
Units are per recipe. Open the Ratio editor on a recipe and choose the water unit there. Temperature (°C / °F) is set globally in Settings.
Is my data private?
Completely. Rebrew collects nothing and runs no servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
